Democrats in Ohio are crowing<\/a> with delight over photos of Republican Congressional candidate Rich Iott in the uniform of the Nazi\u2019s Waffen SS.\u00a0 What more proof could voters require that the Republicans truly are evil incarnate.\u00a0 Not to be outdone in hopping all over this, the #2 Repub in the House of Representatives, Eric Cantor, was quick to denounce<\/a> the Nazi-loving Iott.<\/p>\n

What was he thinking?\u00a0 What kind of nut-job would put on this dreaded uniform and parade around in it?<\/p>\n

A historic re-enactor type person, that\u2019s who.\u00a0 That\u2019s right.\u00a0 Mr Iott isn\u2019t a racial supremacist.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t hate the Jews.\u00a0 He\u2019s one of those guys who own replica uniforms, camp out in mock military encampments and re-create famous battles for fun and educational purposes.\u00a0 He\u2019s not a Nazi, he just realizes that someone has to be willing to be on the losing side or you can\u2019t show the battle.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure who looks worse here, the Democrats for yelling about a guy who likes to dress up in costumes and run around with his buddies, or the Republicans who missed an opportunity to tell the Democrats \u201cstop being dumb.\u201d\u00a0 Either way, both sides look ridiculous and are at risk of offending that key \u201cnerdy guy with too much time on his hands\u201d demographic.<\/p>\n

Mr Iott, you still have my support, but if I find out you\u2019re a secret Confederate re-anactor who whistles Dixie and fakes a Southern drawl, or that you have put on a red-coat and pretend to be hanging out with Cornwallis and singing \u201cGod Save the King\u201d, or any other such nonsense\u2026\u2026sir, if you\u2019ve been mock fighting against this country for any other pretend army\u2026..well\u2026.I just won\u2019t be able to vote for you.\u00a0\u00a0 Because I\u2019m from Oklahoma.\u00a0 So there!<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
