\u201cI have a business meeting for lunch almost every day this week and won\u2019t get to come home and see you and the kids at lunchtime.\u201d\u00a0 So began the tale of woe of my beloved husband this past Sunday night.\u00a0 I felt so guilty.\u00a0 We get to spend our days with each other, watching our stories and eating bon bons (it\u2019s really stolen Easter candy, but bon-bons sounds better), while he has to work through lunch and doesn\u2019t get to take a break at all.\u00a0 I honestly did feel badly for him and began to brainstorm all the ways I could make it up to him or reward him for all of his hard work. (I\u2019m not telling you.\u00a0 This is a G-rated blog.\u00a0 So, don\u2019t ask me!)<\/p>\n
Last night, he dragged himself through the door, slowly and painfully.\u00a0 \u201cHe needs a shoulder rub and brisket for dinner.\u201d I thought to myself.\u00a0 The poor dear works so hard.\u00a0 We are so lucky\u2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cDid you hurt yourself moving stuff today?\u201d the loving wife asked.\u00a0 \u201cYou really do work too hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo.\u00a0 Our lunch meeting was at XYZ Pizza, the one with the go-karts? We spent the last 30 minutes of the meeting racing around and I hurt my back on the last curve,\u201d the wicked husband replied.<\/p>\n
Guess who no longer feels guilty?\u00a0 Guess who\u2019s not feeling guilty all the way to the store to buy a cute pair of sparkly shoes.\u00a0 I\u2019ll give you a hint.\u00a0 She had to wipe noses and bottoms yesterday while some other people were having \u201cmeetings\u201d, eating free pizza, and racing go-karts.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
