A movie a preview I saw once unveiled an epic story about friends going through college, life and love, and in a pivotal moment utilized the Beatles\u2019 \u201cHey Jude\u201d to perfection. After that, for days, I was hardly able to the song out of my head or forget the mixed emotion conveyed in the simple opening lines of \u201cdon\u2019t make it bad, take a sad song and make it better\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, as I watched a rerun of a show, the character walks alone to the tune of R.E.M.\u2019s \u201cEverybody Hurts\u201d and I thought I\u2019d make a list of some other songs that tug on the heartstrings, some that might even make David Hasselhoff cry.
