{"id":1086,"date":"2010-07-28T09:29:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-28T09:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2010\/07\/final-notice-from-strathmores-registries\/"},"modified":"2010-07-28T09:29:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-28T09:29:00","slug":"final-notice-from-strathmores-registries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2010\/07\/final-notice-from-strathmores-registries.html","title":{"rendered":"Final Notice from Strathmore&#8217;s Registries"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><head><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><\/head><body><p>One of the clear signs that various Who\u2019s Who organizations that I\u2019ve mentioned before on this blog are scams is the fact that <i>every day\u00a0<\/i>my spam filter usually contains at least one \u201cfinal notice\u201d from them about my \u201copportunity\u201d to be included in their Who\u2019s Who directory.<\/p>\n<p>All the ones I\u2019ve come across thus far simply take money from anyone willing to give it to them and in exchange include that person in their directory.<\/p>\n<p>Is \u201cStrathmore\u2019s Who\u2019s Who\u201d the same sort of scam? I don\u2019t know, and hope not to find out, but today I received the first \u201cfinal notice\u201d e-mail I\u2019ve noticed from them in my spam filter. I wonder how many more there will be.<\/p>\n<p>My advice to anyone interested is to steer clear of any organization that offers to include you in a \u201cWho\u2019s Who\u201d and whose web site is simply a place for you to enter your personal information.
