Initially I added additional links I came across to those posts. But there continue to be so many that I thought I should share some of the beautiful and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/friendlyatheist\/2012\/12\/18\/how-many-sermons-like-this-never-see-the-light-of-day\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">horrific<\/a> things that have come to my attention.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.episcopalcafe.com\/lead\/news_reports\/fridays_honoring_of_the_lives.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+episcopalcafe%2Flead+%28The+Lead%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Lead<\/a> has had a steady stream of reporting on sermons and prayers connected with the tragedy, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.episcopalcafe.com\/lead\/public_policy\/seeing_god_in_schools.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+episcopalcafe%2Flead+%28The+Lead%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">other<\/a> religious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.episcopalcafe.com\/lead\/faith_and_terror\/more_on_god_in_the_newtown_tra_1.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+episcopalcafe%2Flead+%28The+Lead%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">perspectives<\/a> and reflections.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/slacktivist\/2012\/12\/18\/why-james-dobson-is-unable-to-speak-of-the-actual-murder-of-actual-children\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Fred Clark<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/robertcargill.com\/2012\/12\/18\/response-to-dr-james-dobson-who-blames-sandy-hook-school-massacre-on-gays-abortion\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bob Cargill<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redletterchristians.org\/james-dobson-i-think-he-god-has-allowed-judgment-to-fall-upon-us\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+RedLetterChristians+%28Red+Letter+Christians%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Red Letter Christians<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/friendlyatheist\/2012\/12\/18\/james-dobson-the-shooting-happened-because-we-allow-abortion-and-gay-marriage\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Hemant Mehta<\/a>\u00a0all responded to James Dobson\u2019s interpretation of the shooting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/religion.blogs.cnn.com\/2012\/12\/18\/my-take-six-things-i-dont-want-to-hear-after-the-sandy-hook-massacre\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Stephen Prothero<\/a> made a list of things he doesn\u2019t want to hear after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/unsettledchristianity.com\/2012\/12\/mad-props-to-the-rabbi-bryan-fischer-is-not-a-religious-man\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+unsettledchristianityblog+%28Unsettled+Christianity%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Rabbi Boteach says<\/a> that America is the most religious country on Earth, and so explanations of the shooting in terms of lack of religion are nonsense.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/justice\/2012\/12\/19\/1361521\/top-conservative-publication-newtown-happened-because-women-ran-the-school\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Think Progress reports on a conservative source<\/a> which said that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2012\/12\/19\/national_review_writer_shooting_was_result_of_a_feminized_setting\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">if there had been more men in the school<\/a>, things might have turned out differently.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.christiancentury.org\/blogs\/archive\/2012-12\/why-should-we-take-moral-direction-max-lucado\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Max Lucado and Bernie Goetz<\/a>\u00a0make an interesting combination.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-11576\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2012\/12\/12210_361173513978861_1766485157_n-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"216\">A wall of considerate police, firefighters and other people formed to keep\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/thepangeablog\/2012\/12\/19\/your-god-of-hatred-is-an-idol\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Westboro \u201cBaptist\u201d \u201cChurch\u201d<\/a> demonstrators away from mourning families in Newtown.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whyevolutionistrue.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/19\/william-lane-craig-weighs-in-on-the-newtown-shootings\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jerry Coyne<\/a> had a negative reaction to <a href=\"http:\/\/skepticink.com\/tippling\/2012\/12\/18\/aaaarrggghhh-william-lane-craig-does-it-again-the-school-massacre-sends-the-message-that-god-provides-hope-for-us\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">William Lane Craig\u2019s comments<\/a> about the shooting. <a href=\"http:\/\/freethoughtblogs.com\/pharyngula\/2012\/12\/18\/it-was-a-good-week-to-go-offline\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+freethoughtblogs%2Fpharyngula+%28FTB%3A+Pharyngula%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">P. Z. Myers offered<\/a> another atheist reaction to many more conservative and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/friendlyatheist\/2012\/12\/20\/alabama-chief-justice-elect-roy-moore-evolution-has-so-distorted-our-way-of-thinking\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">allegedly Christian comments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/christianpiatt\/2012\/12\/pastor-terry-jones-is-no-match-for-the-beatles-love\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Beatles prove stronger than Terry Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ccbcthoughts.blogspot.com\/2012\/12\/more-tragedy-ive-had-enough.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tom Bartley<\/a> has had enough of guns making the damage inflicted by human beings so much worse.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theconnexion.net\/wp\/?p=13229#axzz2FbBCjIHo\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kim Fabricius<\/a> reflects on the gun as American idol, and <a href=\"http:\/\/theconnexion.net\/wp\/?p=13221#axzz2FbBCjIHo\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Richard Hall<\/a> discusses the combination of weaponry, fundamentalism, and mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>See also posts by <a href=\"http:\/\/carsontclark.com\/uncategorized\/20247\/miniblog162\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Carson T.
