There have been numerous <a href=\"http:\/\/s-i-t-h.tumblr.com\/post\/27699616568\/because-im-sick-of-seeing-that-damn-wrongness\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">attempts to address the misinformation about bogus and slim parallels online<\/a>. But since the claims continue to be made (much as creationist misinformation continues to circulate with no apparent effect of its having been debunked on countless occasions), I thought I would mention a couple of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roger-pearse.com\/weblog\/2012\/12\/27\/from-my-diary-280\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mithras-related resources<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/notbeingasausage.blogspot.com\/2012\/12\/mithras-mithraism.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed:+OnNotBeingASausage+(On+Not+Being+a+Sausage)&amp;utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher&amp;m=1\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">came to my attention<\/a> in the past couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>One is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roger-pearse.com\/weblog\/2012\/12\/26\/from-my-diary-279\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Roger Pearse's<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roger-pearse.com\/mithras\/display.php?page=main#Mithras_and_Christianity\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">online materials related to Mithras<\/a>, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roger-pearse.com\/mithras\/display.php?page=mithras_and_christianity\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a page specifically dedicated to  Mithraism and Christianity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/b01pg5nt\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The other<\/a> is a <a href=\"http:\/\/rogueclassicism.com\/2012\/12\/27\/podcast-iot-the-cult-of-mithras\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">podcast from the BBC radio show<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roger-pearse.com\/weblog\/2012\/12\/27\/bbc-radio-4-on-mithras\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cIn Our Time\u201d with Melvyn Bragg about Mithras<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If <a href=\"http:\/\/s-i-t-h.tumblr.com\/post\/27699616568\/because-im-sick-of-seeing-that-damn-wrongness\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">pointing mythicists to actual information about Mithras and Mithraism<\/a> fails to have an effect, I suggest that a back-up approach be to simply say that mythicism itself derives from Mithraism.
