I\u2019m hoping to have a chance to take a closer look at an iPad soon. I really don\u2019t find it particularly appealing at all compared to a Tablet PC. With one exception: the iPad has a piano app that looks really cool.\u00a0A while ago I shared a video of Lang Lang playing \u201cFlight of the Bumble Bee\u201d on an iPad<\/a>, and that was pretty awesome.<\/p>\n

And so that is the real test of whether the Tablet PC makes the iPad completely unnecessary. Can you play piano on it? Break it out and use it to record a melody or song idea that came to mind \u2013 or just to jam?<\/p>\n

Apple says \u201cThere\u2019s an app for that.\u201d What I want to know is, who if anyone is exploring the musical potential for Tablet PCs? I really want to know!<\/p>\n
