<\/a><\/div>\nLike so many others, it is hard to feel anything other than pride<\/em> for the Butler Bulldogs and what was an impressive end to an incredible season. One of the two teams in the championship was going to lose \u2013 we all knew that before the season even\u00a0began. Butler went all the way to the championship, played their best,\u00a0kept up the pressure on Duke so that there was never more than a\u00a0handful of points\u00a0difference between them,\u00a0and if that final shot had gone in, Butler would have won rather than lost. I don\u2019t think anyone would deny that the Butler Bulldogs played an amazing game at the end of what has been an amazing season. <\/p>\n And so I congratulate the Duke Blue Devils, but I also congratulate the Butler Bulldogs. What a winning streak you had this season! What an effort in the championship!
