It provides an interesting opportunity to consider whether there could be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.klingon.org\/smboard\/index.php?topic=869.0\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">concepts so foreign<\/a> that no translation would be possible, or that any translation either <a href=\"http:\/\/www.extremeskins.com\/showthread.php?159715-Klingon-Bible!\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">would not make sense<\/a> or would be misunderstood.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alittleleaven.com\/2008\/08\/klingon-bible.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bible<\/a> has in fact been <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.orlandosentinel.com\/1994-01-22\/news\/9401220365_1_klingon-language-klingon-word-joha\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">translated<\/a> into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kli.org\/wiki\/index.php?Klingon%20Bible%20Translation%20Project\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Klingon<\/a>. Not only is there discussion of the subject <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bibleworks.com\/forums\/showthread.php?468-The-Bible-in-Klingon\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">on the Bible Works software web site<\/a>, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyndale.cam.ac.uk\/index.php?page=Bible-Translations\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the Tyndale House web site links<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/crosswire.org\/study\/parallelstudy.jsp?del=all&amp;key=John&amp;add=KLV&amp;add=WHNU\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a place where you can view the Klingon side by side with the Greek text<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/klv.mrklingon.org\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">There is also a Sword module<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/memoware.com\/?screen=doc_detail&amp;doc_id=15167&amp;p=contributor_id%5E!1038~!\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">one for Palm Bible<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003UHVIOC\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399373&amp;creativeASIN=B003UHVIOC\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>The Klingon Language Version of the World English Bible Psalms<\/em> for Kindle<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B003UHVIOC&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399373\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\"> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.klingonword.org\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a blog A Klingon Word from The Word<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creationism.org\/klingon\/index.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">There is even a creationist web site with an introduction in Klingon!<\/a> And lest you consider this purely sectarian, <a href=\"http:\/\/james.jlcarroll.net\/Star_Trek\/Klingon_BoM\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">there is also a site that has made some efforts to translate the Book of Mormon into Klingon too<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On YouTube, you can hear it read to you (although not pronounced particularly well):<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Bible in Klingon\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tEfNyL4JFTY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>What serious things do you think can be learned from an exercise like this? What other fictional languages has the Bible been translated into?
