{"id":14920,"date":"2013-06-12T14:01:54","date_gmt":"2013-06-12T18:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/?p=14920"},"modified":"2013-06-12T14:01:54","modified_gmt":"2013-06-12T18:01:54","slug":"jaes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/06\/jaes.html","title":{"rendered":"Ja,es"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><head><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><\/head><body><p>After a couple of years of practice typing on an iPad, I still find that (at least when I am typing without looking at the keyboard) my name ends up coming out more frequently as \u00a0Ja,es \u00a0than James.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ironlak.com\/images\/family\/jaes\/jaes-graffiti-ironlak-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"131\">Presumably this is due to the slight difference in size between the iPad\u2019s on-screen keyboard and a typical physical computer keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>Has anyone else noticed this sort of thing? Can one retrain one\u2019s mind and muscles to type more effectively on a different type of keyboard without it detracting from one\u2019s ability on the standard-size keyboard?<\/p>\n<p>(This seems comparable to trying to play one of the smaller musical keyboards or other smaller than standard instruments one comes across, when one is used to playing the full-size instrument).<\/p>\n<p>Presumably changing my name to Ja,es would also solve the problem\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/technmarketing.com\/blog3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/iP01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"369\"><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a couple of years of practice typing on an iPad, I still find that (at least when I am typing without looking at the keyboard) my name ends up coming out more frequently as \u00a0Ja,es \u00a0than James.
