I received an announcement<\/a> today about a forthcoming 4-volume work entitled Handbook for the Study of the Historical Jesus<\/em><\/a>\"\"<\/em><\/span>. To be published by E. J. Brill, this work will range a whopping 3300 pages.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, even though I\u2019m not a prophet, I\u00a0predict that no matter how vast, broad, deep or detailed this work may be, it will not satisfy most mythicists.<\/p>\n

But on the other hand, there is room for criticism of the scholarly publishers involved in this project too. \u201cHandbook\u201d? Really?! A 4-volume, 3300 page, $1,329.00\u00a0handbook<\/em>?!<\/p>\n
