According to the ARAM Society\u2019s web site<\/a>, their next conference on the Mandaeans will be at the University of Stockholm in Sweden, in April 2012. Some of the information there\u00a0is simply copied and pasted from the last conference in Oxford, and the date of that conference changed from that originally scheduled, so one shouldn\u2019t make hard and fast plans at this stage. Nevertheless it is good to see that the next conference is \u201cin the works\u201d and I think Sweden would be a wonderful venue. I\u2019ve never been, but my favorite composer (Kurt Atterberg) was Swedish (you can listen to a few pieces by him online \u2013 his Horn Concerto<\/a>, and some others on YouTube<\/a> \u2013 but not my favorite, the second movement of his Symphony No.2). So I hope I can manage to attend!<\/p>\n
