C. K. Barrett was Professor of Divinity at the University of Durham until his retirement in 1982, when James D. G. Dunn, my Doktorvater, became the Lightfoot Professor of Divinity.<\/p>\n

When I was a student in Durham, well after his retirement, Barrett would still attend New Testament seminars at the Department of Theology from time to time, and it was a real privilege to have him present with us.<\/p>\n

His many works on a range of subjects remain standard and essential references for anyone working in the field of New Testament studies.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
