I\u2019ll say more about the Goodwin ceremony on some other occasion. For now I just want to mention that at one point in the ceremony I had\u00a0what may\u00a0be the most nervewracking experience a professor can have.<\/p>\n

The university president\u2026suddenly started quoting my blog, in detail, at length! <\/p>\n

I share this as a reminder of\u00a0a\u00a0danger that many bloggers are inclined to forget or overlook: people may actually read what you write!<\/p>\n

All kidding aside, the blog post he quoted was this one<\/a>, and his impression of it was favorable.<\/p>\n
