$\"\"$ Butler University\u2019s\u00a0Seminar on Religion and World Civilization\u00a0public lecture series for the coming year is on the topic \u201cFreedom of Expression and Religion.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0If you click through, you will see that there are four interesting topics lined up:\u00a0\u201cFreedom of Speech, Freedom of Faith: Understanding the First Amendment and Its Global Implications\u201d; \u201cIslam and Free Expression\u201d; \u201cMr. Putin Goes to Church: Religion and Freedom of Speech in Modern Russia\u201d; and \u201cAcademic Freedom and Faith in Higher Education.\u201d Blog readers will be familiar with Pete Enns, and I am delighted to say that he will be one of the panelists for the final topic.<\/p>\n

Each year there is a seminar course that runs in parallel with the public lecture series, and this year I\u2019ll be teaching it.<\/p>\n
