Today was the first day that the two traditional-format classes that I am teaching this semester met.<\/p>\n

Last night I had a dream that I was in front of a class on the first day. It was my class on the Bible, which I am not teaching this semester. It had almost slipped my mind to show a video clip that I normally use, and try as I might to bring it onto the screen now, everything seemed to be frozen and unresponsive.<\/p>\n

I shared a cartoon not long ago<\/a> about people having ongoing nightmares about being a student. At least mine are more up to date!<\/p>\n

Both of my classes which I taught today \u2013 \u201cReligion and Science Fiction\u201d and \u201cFirst Year Seminar: Faith, Doubt, and Reason,\u201d got off to a good start, I thought. If you are involved in education, whether as a teacher or professor or as a student, has your academic year gotten off to a good start?<\/p>\n
