It provides examples of people being inspired by Star Trek, and the discussion about whether Star Trek was a religion or philosophy, and its merits compared to sports, was very vibrant!<\/p>\n<p>The student presentation was about movies that have been purported to have been influenced by Scientology. She focused in particular on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00FPH6AXE\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B00FPH6AXE&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">After Earth<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B00FPH6AXE\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\"> which, coincidentally, I had just watched for the first time yesterday!
