The main thing that disturbs me is that he envisages a hypothetical scenario in which one chooses institutions of higher education based on the grade you\u2019ll get for already thinking as you do. If I didn\u2019t think the point of institutions such as the university where I teach was to <em>educate<\/em>, so that people know more and reason better when they leave than when they got here, then I hope I\u2019d go look for some other line of work that actually had a point to it.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, two other bloggers have interacted with Pulliam: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cleverbadger.net\/?p=842\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Clever Badger<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/chaoskeptic.blogspot.com\/2009\/10\/indy-star-on-evolution-pt-ii.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Rev. Ouabache<\/a>. Both posts are worth a look.<\/p>\n<p>For a nice illustration of how education can change one\u2019s mind about evolution, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/evanevodialogue.blogspot.com\/2009\/10\/my-journey-from-opposing-evolution-to.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">today\u2019s guest post over at An Evangelical Dialogue On Evolution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One last post I wish to share isn\u2019t on this topic, but it does relate to another topic we\u2019ve been discussing here recently. What Did I Just Step In? has <a href=\"http:\/\/whatdidijuststepin.blogspot.com\/2009\/10\/most-embarrassing-verse-in-bible.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a post about C. S.
