The blog received more than a million and a half pageviews this year, of which the main page of the blog received the most. But looking at individual blog posts, the top ten most viewed this year were:<\/p>\n<p>10. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2007\/12\/the-vista-black-screen-after-login-mystery-solved.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Vista Black Screen After Login Mystery Solved<\/a>. This solution to a widespread and well-known problem with Windows Vista was shared on my blog all the way back in 2007, and it continues to get traffic. It has been picked up and mentioned by PC tech support websites, and apparently there are enough people still using Vista for it to have received nearly 10,000 pageviews this year.<\/p>\n<p>9. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2012\/06\/chariot-wheels-in-the-red-sea-hoax-persists.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Chariot Wheels in the Red Sea Hoax Persists<\/a><\/p>\n<p>8. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/12\/is-this-bible-verse-a-metaphor.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Is This Bible Verse a Metaphor?<\/a>\u00a0 Given that this post just went up this month, it is quite something that it is among the top posts of the year!<\/p>\n<p>7. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2012\/02\/the-original-aramaic-lords-prayer-is-none-of-the-above.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The \u201cOriginal Aramaic Lord\u2019s Prayer\u201d is None of the Above<\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/05\/doctor-who-season-finale-the-name-of-the-doctor-leaked-early.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Doctor Who Season Finale \u201cThe Name of the Doctor\u201d Leaked Early<\/a>. You will need to click through twice to get the point of this one.<\/p>\n<p>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/01\/the-plot-of-star-wars-episode-vii-is-now-known.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Plot of Star Wars Episode VII is Now Known<\/a>. A satirical suggestion about what J. J. Abrams might do when taking the reigns of this science fiction franchise.<\/p>\n<p>4. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2012\/01\/the-most-effective-squirrel-baffle-ever-and-it-came-free-with-your-birdseed.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Most Effective Squirrel Baffle Ever<\/a>. You never know what\u2019s going to prove of interest!<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/09\/getting-back-to-biblical-principles.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Getting Back to Biblical Principles<\/a>. A Peanuts satire that takes aim at the way some today use the phrase \u201cBiblical principles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2011\/11\/think-outside-the-box-the-cutest-response-to-creationism-ever.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Think Outside the Box: The Cutest Response to Creationism Ever<\/a>. Cartoons and graphics are often popular and get widely circulated. But this one, with its 3,300 likes on Facebook and 358 comments, tops all other such posts.<\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2011\/09\/beware-of-whos-who-scams.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Beware of Who\u2019s Who Scams<\/a>: One such scam tried to get my money once. Blogging about it was clearly a good idea, since many people who have received similar calls and e-mails have Googled about this and have found their way here. It is depressing to see professionals and even academics who have not merely fallen for such a scam, but actually list their inclusion on their CV or r\u00e9sum\u00e9!<\/p>\n<p>Among the runners up \u2013 that is, the next several posts beyond number 10 \u2013 were numerous posts about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/08\/is-this-the-official-doctor-who-50th-anniversary-trailer.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Doctor Who<\/a>, a couple about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/06\/do-you-need-a-phd-to-understand-the-bible.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">interpreting the Bible<\/a>, another about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2008\/06\/another-whos-who-scam.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">a Who\u2019s Who scam<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2010\/05\/the-ending-of-lost-explained.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">my explanation of the ending of LOST<\/a>. Some of those may have had more visits in total than some of this year\u2019s top 10, given that they have been receiving significant amounts of traffic for multiple years.<\/p>\n<p>Which were your favorite posts of the year?
