Fox sci-fi action series Dollhouse<\/em> is back and as good as ever. This second season got off to a strong start tonight as loose ends and new revelations from towards the end of last season have already begun to be explored. At the end of last season, we learned that Dr. Saunders is, in essence, and Active named Whiskey programmed largely based on the personality and memories of a real Dr. Saunders who worked at the Dollhouse and whom Alpha killed. [minor spoilers follow] <\/div>\n

Tonight, we saw her confront her \u201ccreator\u201d and got some excellent treatments of classic sci-fi philosophical themes such as what it means to be human, individual identity, and scientists playing God. <\/div>\n

In one of the best scenes from the episode, Dr. Saunders ironically calls Topher \u201cLord God Almighty\u201d, but later, when he says to her \u201cYou\u2019re human\u201d, she replies, \u201cDon\u2019t flatter yourself.\u201d<\/div>\n
