First, here is a sign I saw posted in the Church of St. Catherine next to the Church of the Nativity:<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183420.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183420.jpg\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p> Next, one of my favorites, from the church at Gethsemane, ironic because of its two possible meanings (it is supposed to be a request that tour guides do their explanations outside so that the quiet, worshipful atmosphere can be maintained in the church):<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183118.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183118.jpg\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p> And finally, the \u201cJewish man in a hat crossing\u201d sign I saw near one of the gates to the old city of Jerusalem (another student had previously seen one that had even more detail added, such as the distinctive tassles):<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183421.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/05\/wpid-Photo-20140517183421.jpg\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>What are some interesting signs that you have seen?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some signs that I have seen in Israel thus far on the trip I am currently on.
