I saw this on The Far Left Side's Facebook page. I am inclined to respond in the manner that I think the author of the Book of Job was getting at in the speeches towards the end of that book. If you can make a better universe, be my guest! There are lots of things we do not know about God, the cosmos, and so many specific details. But this universe produced life. Do we know that one with more stable stars could do that? In fact, we are made of stardust \u2013 the heavy elements they produced, then scattered by supernovas. It scarcely seems appropriate to criticize this universe when we don't have a recipe for a better one.<\/p>\n
