{"id":2525,"date":"2009-01-29T12:15:00","date_gmt":"2009-01-29T12:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2009\/01\/lost-the-polar-bear-explained\/"},"modified":"2009-01-29T12:15:00","modified_gmt":"2009-01-29T12:15:00","slug":"lost-the-polar-bear-explained","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2009\/01\/lost-the-polar-bear-explained.html","title":{"rendered":"LOST: The Polar Bear Explained"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><head><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><\/head><body><div>Contrary to what I\u2019ve still sometimes seen on web pages and blogs, we now pretty much have all the pieces of the puzzle to make sense of the presence of polar bears on the island.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/lostleaks.googlepages.com\/Shot16.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/lostleaks.googlepages.com\/Shot16.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a>(1) Charlotte visited a site in Tunisia where a skeleton of a polar bear, wearing a <a href='https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/library\/buddhism' target='_blank'>Dharma<\/a> Initiative logo on its collar, was unearthed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>(2) The site where the donkey wheel is that moves the island is freezing cold.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>(3) When Ben moved the island, he ended up at a different time and in the Tunisian desert.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All this adds up to the Dharma Initiative having used a polar bear to move the island at some point. I don\u2019t think there are any loose ends, although the fact that Dharma rather than the Others appear to have moved the island at some point is striking. But we\u2019ve been getting indications that the Dharma Initiative and the Others may just be human factions vying for the island.
