If\u00a0you will be in Indianapolis for the occasion, let me know \u2013 perhaps our paths will cross, although it is unlikely to happen unless it is planned, given how large and crowded an event it is.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the occasion, I thought I\u2019d share this image I saw on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/tb\/2bxifl\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Reddit<\/a>, which features a prediction about gaming in the year 2000, made in the 1980s. It is surprisingly accurate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-25392\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2014\/07\/Gaming-in-the-year-2000-1024x700.gif\" alt=\"Gaming in the year 2000\" width=\"622\" height=\"425\"><\/p>\n<p>My favorite comment about it on Reddit was this one:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u201cIn the future one of the most popular games will be played by the whole family featuring a pair of plumber brothers, a princess and an angry giant turtle all driving race cars and trying to sabotage each other with banana peels.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What do you imagine the future of gaming will look like? Feel free to suggest not only the plausible, but the outlandish.
