It promises to be the first of a series of posts\u00a0on this subject. <a href=\"http:\/\/historicaljesusresearch.blogspot.com\/2014\/09\/a-reply-to-dale-martins-jsnt-essay-part.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Brian Pound has the first part of his response to Martin in a guest post on the Jesus Blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dustinmartyr.wordpress.com\/2014\/09\/23\/defining-jewish-preexistence-part-1\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Dustin Smith posted<\/a> on how Jewish readers might have understood\u00a0the Gospel of John if they \u00a0were familiar with the kind of \u201cnotional pre-existence\u201d mentioned in Genesis Rabba, where the patriarchs, the Messiah, and much else \u201cpre-exist\u201d in the mind of God. This too promises to be part of a series.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cruxsolablog.com\/2014\/09\/24\/another-response-to-dale-martins-piece-skinner\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Christopher Skinner suggested<\/a> that these are things we\u2019ll want to talk about at SBL in November. And so isn\u2019t it about time to start planning the bibliobloggers\u2019 gathering for this year? What about the evening of Saturday November\u00a022nd?<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <a href=\"http:\/\/pi8el.com\/TheStoryOfSimon.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">here\u2019s a link to a short story, \u201cThe Story of Simon,\u201d<\/a> composed by a blog reader, and taking some inspiration from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2007\/07\/how-did-marks-gospel-originally-end.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">suggestion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2007\/11\/how-marks-gospel-originally-ended.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">I shared here<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2013\/04\/the-lost-end-of-mark.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">John 21<\/a> might reflect the kind of story that once appeared as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2007\/07\/how-did-marks-gospel-originally-end.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">ending<\/a> to the Gospel of Mark.
