We\u2019ve sung it in church to the tune of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LC9qfGBkNKw\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cPeaceful Easy Feeling\u201d by the Eagles<\/a>, with an added chorus. There is also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zE4k76VjGdY\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">more familiar<\/a> version to the tune of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vN6u2gmdKfE\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cHouse of the Rising Sun.\u201d<\/a> And there is also a version by Chris Tomlin that we sing in church often, with an additional chorus, known as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.godtube.com\/watch\/?v=D7D7ZWNX\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cAmazing Grace (My Chains are Gone).\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I discovered that a substantial part\u00a0of the lyrics to\u00a0\u201cAmazing Grace\u201d fits without too much adaptation to the tune of the song \u201cOpen Arms\u201d by Journey, with\u00a0the \u201cMy Chains are Gone\u201d chorus working\u00a0when sung to\u00a0the \u00a0melody of the chorus of \u201cOpen Arms.\u201d And so I thought I should record it to demonstrate.
