In a previous post I mentioned that Butler University has a new unified messaging system that sends voice mail via e-mail, as well as allowing you to check your e-mail by phone. In that post I mentioned it telling someone \u201cYou have an e-mail from Jesus.\u201d In a voice mail message I left for someone today, I later learned that it turned part of it into the text below (in which, ironically, I said that I wondered what the unified messaging system would transcribe the words as):<\/p>\n

I love that it decided to turn my reference into the Unified Messaging System into the deified<\/i>\u00a0messaging system, and inserted an additional reference to \u201cgod\u201d (which could, in the context, be taken as an expletive or as indicating that I\u2019ve suddenly turned from speaking to my colleague to addressing god prayerfully).<\/p>\n
