I was a bit perplexed when I saw today\u2019s Candorville comic strip (Date-a-Chick, part 1<\/a>). <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

I thought Captain Kirk really had a way with the ladies. Or is that the problem\u00a0\u2013 Captain Kirk does not seem likely to be faithful, and is not good material for a long-term relationship?<\/p>\n

What would a better choice of user name have been? \u201cCaptain Picard\u201d? Today in my religion and sci-fi class we watched the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode \u201cThe Measure of a Man,\u201d in which another Star Fleet officer describes Jean-Luc as \u201csexy.\u201d<\/p>\n

That wasn\u2019t the main focus of today\u2019s class, in case you were wondering.<\/p>\n
