But that is surely how it will be depicted by some, and misconstrued deliberately by others, when the ad below appears in the <em>New York Times<\/em> tomorrow, sponsored by an organization whose name says it is seeking freedom <em>from<\/em> religion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: none\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2015\/04\/wpid-Photo-20150404214145464.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2015\/04\/wpid-Photo-20150404214145464.jpg\" id=\"blogsy-1428198107756.5505\" class=\"alignnone\" width=\"500\" height=\"921\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p> The cause of keeping religion and state separate is a religious one historically advocated by Baptists. I wonder whether an ad like this placed by Baptists, rather than atheists and agnostics, might be received differently. <\/p>\n<p>What do you think?
