But in other kinds of reading, a slower place, allowing time for reflection (not to mention the looking up of unfamiliar words, names, and historical references) is essential.<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting that the Bible doesn\u2019t get an asterisk for being a \u2018series of books.\u2019 Of course, you rarely find them published separately nowadays, but it is still important to recall that the Bible is a collection, even if bound into a single volume.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-30082\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2015\/05\/How-long-to-read.jpg\" alt=\"How long to read\" width=\"485\" height=\"4357\"><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Washington Post shared an infographic from Personal Creations (below) which compares how long it will take an average reader, at an average speed, to read various works of literature.
