I thought I\u2019d chip in with my $.02 worth.<\/p>\n<p>For me, the fact that Jesus was known as \u201cJesus of Nazareth\u201d (such designations indicated one\u2019s place of birth, as the case of <a href=\"http:\/\/bible.cc\/acts\/22-3.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Saul of Tarsus<\/a> seems to confirm) is key evidence pointing to Jesus\u2019 birthplace having been Nazareth. Although Matthew and Luke seem to agree (independently, for those who subscribe to the Q hypothesis) on Jesus having been born in Bethlehem, that is one of very few details these authors agree on when it comes to the birth of Jesus.
