So having offered a spoiler warning, now we can continue. Basically this post is to ask what other fans of Heroes made of Sylar\u2019s \u201cbaptism\u201d. Lots of characters are seeking redemption in this episode \u2013 Hiro Nakamura and Noah Bennett in particular. Sylar (or is it Gabriel? or Nathan?) seems to be too. Is the symbolism of the ending hinting that a religious act and a community cannot take the place of concrete, practical acts of goodness as we seek to not simply feel forgiven but actually make amends for past mistakes?<\/p>\n
