If on this point the YEC view is quite an old one, so too are intelligent responses that reject it, as this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newadvent.org\/summa\/1096.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">quote<\/a> from Thomas Aquinas (who <a href=\"http:\/\/palaeoblog.blogspot.com\/2011\/03\/died-this-day-st-thomas-aquinas.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">died this day, March 7th, in 1274<\/a>)\u00a0indicates:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the opinion of some, those animals which now are fierce and kill others, would, in that [pre-Fall] state, have been tame, not only in regard to man, but also in regard to other animals. But this is quite unreasonable.
