I have long had the habit of working to music. Today as I worked on my syllabi and checked corrections to a chapter I\u2019ve contributed to a forthcoming book, I have been listening to an album featuring the music of Joseph Schwantner<\/a>, with Evelyn Glennie as soloist.<\/p>\n

The final track is a piece called \u201cNew Morning For The World<\/a>\u201c, with the subtitle \u201cDaybreak of Freedom\u201d. The piece<\/a> features a narrator reciting words<\/a> from speeches by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The whole album is quite wonderful, and you can listen to it online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
