\"Makes<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure why it never occurred to me before to combine the two sayings about Jack: \u201cAll work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,\u201d and \u201cJack of all trades, master of none.\u201d<\/p>\n

But now that it has, it seemed meme-worthy. There is nothing dull about constantly learning new things. And\u00a0to\u00a0achieve\u00a0mastery in a particular domain requires a dedication of time and effort, which again is scarcely dull. And learning can be made\u00a0fun<\/em> if we approach it in the right way.<\/p>\n

It remains true that no one can truly<\/em>\u00a0master\u00a0all<\/em> trades.\u00a0But we can become more than just a dabbler or dilettante if we are willing to commit\u00a0ourselves.<\/p>\n

When is the last time you learned something genuinely new? When is the last time you tried to make measurable progress in a particular area?<\/p>\n
