Since I\u2019ve been thinking quite a bit about orality and the Jesus tradition, I joined in the conversation. The subject of how common it was for notes to be taken by individuals in various circumstances (e.g. serving in a royal court as scribe, becoming the disciple of a rabbi, philosopher or other teacher, and so on) is an important one, but I notice a lot of \u201cpossibly\u201d and \u201ccould have\u201d in the list.
