It begins with the same theme as <a href=\"http:\/\/lingamish.com\/2006\/05\/the-bible-wasnt-written-to-you\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">David Ker\u2019s<\/a> book: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smashwords.com\/books\/view\/50650\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Bible Wasn\u2019t Written To You<\/a><\/em>. But then Ken goes on to say something more that even those who get this first point can overlook:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #660000;font-size: large\">The individual books of the Bible themselves do not have the same audiences.  That is, the \u201cY-O-U\u201d of each book is often different from each other.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is a simple point, and for many of us it is obvious and may even seem scarcely worth mentioning. But it needs to be mentioned because, as Ken\u2019s post points out, a lot of readers miss this crucial insight. Not only\u00a0should one not treat the Bible as written to themselves, one also\u00a0should not\u00a0read the Bible as though it were addressing the same people throughout. And that means that one\u00a0ought not\u00a0to\u00a0think that they have discovered\u00a0\u201cthe Bible\u2019s answers\u201d\u00a0when similar-sounding things are said in multiple places.
