The preacher suggested that the reason the snake tempted Eve first was that if Adam had eaten the fruit first and then brought it home to Eve, she would have asked \u201cWhere did you get that? Was it on sale? How do you know it doesn\u2019t have salmonella?\u201d and perhaps also \u201cDid your mother cook you this?\u201d<\/p>\n
