<\/iframe>\n<\/p>I expect that I will be using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2016\/03\/max-stern-bible-and-music.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Max Stern\u2019s books<\/a> about <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/29SNmzf\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bible and\u00a0Music<\/a> <\/em>and <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/29LbRMw\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Psalms and Music<\/a><\/em> in connection with my course on the Bible and Music in the Spring. Stern is a composer, and not only is his piece exploring the story of Jacob wrestling with an angel interesting musically, but the expanded retelling on the screen as the music plays in the above video is also fascinating in its own right, as is the choice of images to accompany the words and music.
