Papers are invited for a panel on forgeries\u00a0to be held at this year\u2019s Society of Biblical Literature Meeting in Boston in November as part \u00a0of the \u2018Papyrology and Early Christian Backgrounds\u2019 program unit. The panel will feature papers\u00a0by members of two international projects on forged ancient manuscripts, \u2018The Lying Pen of Scribes\u2019, and \u2018Forging Antiquity\u2019, and further papers are invited\u00a0on topics related to the theme: these could be examinations of forged ancient\u00a0manuscripts or narratives of forgery, discussions of the relationship between provenance and authenticity, or other related topics.
