I\u2019m kind of sorry that it didn\u2019t get elaborated on, although it was already departing sufficiently from the book for me to be worried, if also intrigued and curious to see more.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a fan of\u00a0<em>The Book of Strange New Things<\/em>, what are your thoughts on this \u201cstrange new\u201d take on its story? Are you relieved or sorry that it didn\u2019t continue past the pilot?<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re between binge-watches and want something that is just a once off, you can apparently no longer\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2ncyx12\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">get it through Amazon<\/a>. But at least at present you can watch it via DailyMotion:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/embed\/video\/x5fdt4r\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to be returning soon to a (hopefully final) proofreading and revision of a story about religion as it intersects with the subject of life on Mars. No, this isn\u2019t a retro work that might have worked for Lewis or Bradbury but will seem dated or simply bizarre in our time. I hope it paints a scenario that is at least plausible, and one that has obvious relevance to contemporary issues without being heavy-handed.
