Sean the Baptist has posted a blog entry<\/a> on a subject that I\u2019ve long thought about, but never written about (until now). In Matthew\u2019s Gospel (chapter 24), the image of some being \u2018taken\u2019 and others being \u2018left (behind)\u2019 is used, but in a way that in fact suggests that those who are left<\/em> are the \u201csaved\u201d, while those taken away are judged, like those taken away by Noah\u2019s flood.<\/p>\n

Sean shares what a number of key commentators have to say on the subject. On the whole, it seems like the Left Behind<\/em> series may have to be rewritten (although not necessarily renamed) in order to fit this Biblical passage. Maybe that\u2019s why I\u2019ve always preferred Right Behind<\/a>\"\" to Left Behind<\/em>.<\/p>\n
