If the humanities are less \u2018scientific\u2019 than the natural sciences, clearly Intelligent Design is not even in the same league with the humanities.<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand, there is <a href=\"http:\/\/forbiddengospels.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/conservative-or-liberal-scholarship.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a beautiful statement that April DeConick made on her blog, about what scholarship in any field should be about<\/a>: seeking understanding and following the trail of evidence, even if it leads us to unexpected places.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there is a statement about <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncommondescent.com\/the-design-of-life\/from-the-files-why-intelligent-design-is-going-to-win-revisited\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Intelligent Design winning<\/a><\/em> made by Denyse O\u2019Leary on Uncommon Descent. She is annoyed by the argument she is criticizing, but she never suggests that the goal of Intelligent Design, allegedly a form of science and scholarship, shouldn\u2019t be about winning, but a quest for truth no matter what the truth turns out to be.<\/p>\n<p>You be the judge\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/7622297540113836091-6146374125453230254?l=exploringourmatrix.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m just sharing there to set them side by side, because the contrast is noteworthy.
