The things he focuses on \u2013 the ending of Mark and the story of the woman caught in adultery in John \u2013 are the very reason that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamecrafter.com\/games\/canon:-the-card-game-new-testament-edition-deck-2-\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">I focus on textual criticism in the second New Testament deck of Canon: The Card Game<\/a>, with cards representing these very texts, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Of related interest,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/septuagintstudies.wordpress.com\/2017\/07\/12\/a-short-note-on-ancient-canon-theory\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">John Meade blogged<\/a> about a piece by Armin Lange on the \u201cCanonical History of the Hebrew Bible.\u201d\u00a0And a while back,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pictoraltheology.blogspot.com\/2016\/02\/ill-be-nicean-you.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Pliny the In-Between<\/a> depicted\u00a0the Council of Nicaea voting on what to consider canonical science \u2013\u00a0presumably reflecting the\u00a0mistaken idea that that council decided on the biblical canon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-41257\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/719\/2017\/07\/Canonical-science-1024x768.png\" alt=\"Canonical science\" width=\"849\" height=\"637\"><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First, I hope you all saw that Canon: The Card Game was featured in the online periodical\u00a0Christian Today.\u00a0I thought the author, Joseph Hartropp, did a fantastic job of conveying the essence of the game and the things that led to its creation.
