Here is video of Garth Knox\u2019s piece \u201cJonah and the Whale\u201d for viola and tuba:<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jonah and the Whale (2\/2) - viola + tuba - Garth Knox\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/236YuEq4Oo0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.garthknox.org\/compositions\/concerts_pieces\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">composer\u2019s website<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Jonah and the Whale<\/strong><br>\nFor viola and tuba<\/p>\n<p>Written for G\u00e9rard Buquet, tubist and friend. The idea came to me to write a piece for the seemingly outrageous combination of viola and tuba based on the story of Jonah and the Whale as told in Moby Dick by Hermann Melville.
