It was asking about science fiction fandom canons, of course, and focused in on the example of the War Doctor on Doctor Who. But since it did so at a time that coincides not only with the 4.5th anniversary of \u201cThe <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2zStEO5\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Name of the Doctor<\/a>,\u201d but also with the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, I am\u00a0delighted (as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamecrafter.com\/games\/canon:-the-card-game-old-testament-edition-\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">you know I always am<\/a>) to focus in once again on the relationship between fandom and biblical canons.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/io9.gizmodo.com\/join-the-minute-physics-youtube-channel-on-a-journey-th-1819938277\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">if time travel is possible, then you can go back and make the canon always have been what you later change it to be<\/a>.\u00a0But if it always was that way, you would never go back to change it, would you\u2026?<\/p>\n<p>Turning once more to\u00a0the Biblical canon, <a href=\"http:\/\/evangelicaltextualcriticism.blogspot.com\/2017\/10\/new-book-biblical-canon-lists-from.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">there is a new book out about ancient canon lists<\/a>. Also, a post on social media did something quite wonderful with a work that is in the Apocrypha and thus in Catholic and Orthodox biblical canons but outside of or on the margin of Protestant Bibles. Bob Cargill shared these on Facebook, writing, \u201cDoing Judith this morning in Sunday School. Can you think of other tweets from Holofernes?\u00a0Who else from the Apocrypha deserves to have\u00a0a Twitter account created for them with tweets of this sort provided?<\/p>\n<p>I apologize for not having said or done much related to either Halloween or the anniversary of the Reformation. As you\u2019ll know if you\u2019re connected with me on Facebook or on Twitter, I was involved in a Luther 500 event with Reformation-themed games like <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2zj1S0K\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sola Fide<\/a>, and for Halloween I was dressed as Dracula and trying to promote my Transylvania trip that I will run in May 2018.
