I recently offered a parody of intelligent design<\/a> on my blog, trying to show what it would be like if the same logic and arguments were applied to chemistry<\/a>. It was then pointed out to me that at least one group seems to have made a similar argument, but intending it to be taken completely seriously<\/a>! I\u2019m no longer laughing (although perhaps I\u2019ll contact them and see if they will link to my web page \u2013 if they did, perhaps I could still find this amusing). But what does it mean if parody and that which is being parodied become scarcely distinguishable? It is like having conservatives everywhere tune in to the Colbert Report<\/a> \u2013 but for pure news commentary rather than entertainment.<\/p>\n

For instance, it the following a parody, or is it intended to be taken seriously? The fact that it is so hard to tell is deeply disturbing!<\/p>\n
