Here are a few pieces I\u2019d recommend for this purpose\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lmic.lv\/jaunumi.php?lan=2&amp;id=4534&amp;PHPSESSID=4cc0be0bd48e483e762bc6cd0de04afd\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Peteris Vasks\u2019<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00069I6QU?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00069I6QU\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><i>Lauda<\/i><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B00069I6QU\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\"> which I was listening to earlier today<\/p>\n<p>Alan Hovhaness\u2019 Symphony \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000003D0V?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000003D0V\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Celestial Gate<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000003D0V\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\">\u201c<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/Athens\/Academy\/5490\/Atterberg.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kurt Atterberg\u2019s<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0000646FN?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0000646FN\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Symphony No.2<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0000646FN\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\">, the opening and closing sections of the second movement being, for me, the most inspiring melody of all time<\/p>\n<p>Ralph Vaughan Williams\u2019 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000002S2P?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000002S2P\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Symphony No.5<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000002S2P\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\"><\/em><\/p>\n<p>James Horner\u2019s score from <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000006O6R?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000006O6R\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Deep Impact<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000006O6R\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\"><\/i> and of course any of John Williams\u2019 music from <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0002YCVLU?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0002YCVLU\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Star Wars<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0002YCVLU\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\"><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Let me also mention Gustav Holst\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000027JFS?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000027JFS\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><i>Hymn of Jesus<\/i><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000027JFS\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\"> which is not only beautiful music but is fascinating as a very rare instance of the setting to music of an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacred-texts.com\/chr\/gno\/hoj.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">extracanonical Christian text <\/a>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicweb.uk.net\/classrev\/2000\/feb00\/hovanessworks.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hovhaness<\/a> has done the same with the Odes of Solomon; Joaquin Rodrigo, famous for his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0002DD67Y?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0002DD67Y\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Concierto de Aranjuez<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0002DD67Y\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\">, has a setting of some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0000BX5KK?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0000BX5KK\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Qumran hymns<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=jamefmcgrshom-20&amp;l=as2&amp;amp;o=1&amp;a=B0000BX5KK\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\">).
