Chris Brady took some photos and posted them on his blog<\/a>.<\/p>\nBefore that, the Blogger session was interesting, with presentations by Chris Brady and by Richard Price, the creator of Academia.edu.<\/p>\n
I missed the first part of that session because I went to hear Jorunn Buckley\u2019s paper on Lady Drower\u2019s correspondence and her disagreement with Widengren about literal versus meaning-oriented translation of Mandaean texts, particularly liturgical ones. It really resonated with some of the challenges that we have been facing while working on the Mandaean Book of John.<\/p>\n
The day yesterday also included a lot of chance encounters with people that I had hoped to bump into at some point. <\/p>\n
