One set of footprints there was seen,<\/p>\n
The footprints of my precious Lord,<\/p>\n
But mine were not along the shore.<\/p>\n
But then some strange prints appeared,<\/p>\n
And I asked the Lord, \u201cWhat have we here?\u201d<\/p>\n
Those prints are large and round and neat,<\/p>\n
\u201cBut Lord, they are too big for feet.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMy child,\u201d He said in somber tones,<\/p>\n
\u201cFor miles I carried you along.<\/p>\n
I challenged you to walk in faith,<\/p>\n
But you refused and made me wait.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou disobeyed, you would not grow,<\/p>\n
The walk of faith, you would not know,<\/p>\n
So I got tired, I got fed up,<\/p>\n
And there I dropped you on your butt.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause in life, there comes a time,<\/p>\n
When one must fight, and one must climb,<\/p>\n
When one must rise and take a stand,<\/p>\n
